Colorful chakra symbols with text 'KARA DE WOOD CH'.

Travis “Red” Wood is a magical defender of Gaia. Bestowed with Nature’s enchanted gifts of witchcraft, tattooed with Elemental Runes of power and protection, he’s tasked with finding wicked sorcerers, demons, and supernatural miscreants…and terminating with severe prejudice.

At six-foot-eight, two-hundred-seventy-plus pounds of mostly muscle and magic, Red is literally a force of Nature.

Living on his family’s mountain in Manitou Springs, CO, with his mountain lion Marlow, Red has reveled life with successful pursuits. His triumphs are numerous, whether assisting local Colorado Springs Homicide Detective Benny Rogers, or helping members of Donum (his international coven of conjurers)—losing is not part of Red’s vocabulary.

But something’s about to confront Red's shaggy red head. Challenging his power, his trust, and his life, while knocking him down one spiritual wheel at a time.

Something that will piss him off with severe annoyance.

FEAR

Book 1

FEAR. It starts at the base of your spine.

When a young woman’s found murdered under strange circumstances, Colorado Springs Homicide Detective Benny Rogers calls in the one man who can see beyond the physical evidence—Travis “Red” Wood, Earth‑gifted shaman and supernatural troubleshooter. Red’s magic pinpoints the killer’s identity, and the case seems wrapped up before it begins.

But Red knows there’s more to it than his spiritual eye can see.

Something cunning. Something wicked.

When another body appears, similar in appalling brutality, Red learns the murders aren’t just connected. They’re invitations. The killer is staging these horrors as a twisted game, baiting the shamanic sleuth into a deadly confrontation.

As Red digs deeper, he uncovers a vile magical influence threading through the crimes, one powerful enough to warp minds and push his own abilities to the breaking point. For the first time as Gaia’s defender, Red faces a terror he can’t simply outfight or outwit.

With a colorful crew of magical friends and a handful of eclectic allies, Red must rely on his craft, his fists, and his razor‑sharp humor to unravel a mystery woven from blood, illusion, and ancient power. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more he realizes the actual target isn’t the victims.

It’s him.

GUILT

Book 2

Red Wood meets Venessa Ruijilio, a Southern Ute woman who possesses a cursed ransom letter for her twin brother, Raven. The peculiar message demands Vanessa to find an object called the Eye of the Sun and deliver it to the Queen’s Cradle on the night of the next dark moon.

Unfortunately, she has no idea what the Eye is, or where the Cradle is located.

Cracking the letter’s curse put’s Red in the conjurer’s crosshairs and the investigation becomes a personal aggravation. Determined to find the Eye and discover its purpose, Red rushes to exterminate the annoying sorcerer before it can throw down a curse of lethal doom on the twins and himself.

From his home in Manitou Springs, CO, to Durango, everyone he meets could be a suspect. The Eye eludes him. The Cradle doesn’t exist on any map. The only fact Red has is the meeting takes place in four days, on the longest, darkest, coldest night of the year.

Manifesting himself into unpredictable trouble, and uncomfortable situations, Red Wood must make decisions that will challenge his infrangible morals. Regret is something he carries, but guilt becomes an unfamiliar burden to control.
